Starting today, you have the fighting game that obsesses me on Game Pass, and these are the reasons I give you to try it

The fighting game scene has been in a pretty healthy state lately. With great veterans returning and some newbies becoming real obsessions, we have a strong scene. Of all the titles of the genre that I have tried in recent years, apart from my usual favorites, I have to say that there is one in particular that has conquered me, and as of today you have it on Game Pass. What is Guilty Gear -STRIVE- and why is it so cool?

Arc System Works, the creators of the fabulous Dragon Ball FighterZ, are true fighting game wizards. In their curriculum they have titles such as Akira Toriyama’s game, Blazblue and the entire Guilty Gear saga, one of the great classics of Japanese arcades, which achieved notoriety thanks to the powerful metal style music by Daisuke Ishiwatari, the creator of the saga. Of course, this is much more than a beautiful soundtrack attached to a fighting game.

If you have seen the trailer that is above this paragraph, it is normal that the very marked aesthetic section of the ASW title. The 3D anime style that is branded GG -STRIVE- is one of the pluses that makes the best impression on a first contact: it is a title with dynamic and colorful combat, with impressive but not overloaded effects, and a roster of characters as cool as unique.

And this is not only reflected in their appearance, but also in the way each one is played. STRIVE has one of my favorite casts when it comes to fighting games, with lots of variety and differentiation. It is very difficult that there is not at least one of these peculiar fighters that you end up falling in love with.

Joe Biden is one of the best gamers in the world, or at least we think so until the White House rules on the matter

Other than that, overall it’s a more than solid game, with lots of combos, a variety of settings, and action that’s as fast-paced as it is accessible. The high leagues of GG STRIVE are full of terms that only the true “eaten” of the game will understand, but the most casual players they will not be isolated for this game, having a lot to enjoy even if you don’t want to spend hundreds of hours on it.

If we add to this the use of state-of-the-art technologies in the field of fighting videogames, such as the rollback netcodefor a much more enjoyable online experience, we stay with a cool package and 100% recommended, especially now that he has just arrived at the game pass catalog from Microsoft.

Of course, this is where you have to talk about one of the buts of playing it in the subscription service: the DLCs. Not surprisingly, Guilty Gear -STRIVE- on Game Pass does not include the characters unlockable through downloadable packs or season passes. That leaves you without access to 7 of the heroes in this game, though that doesn’t mean you’re going to have a bad experience with the other 15.

Total, that if something of what I have said has made you click, you can open your Game Pass right now and download it. If you want to quench your thirst for milk while you wait for Street Fighter 6, Guilty Gear is a great game that could become one of your favorites before you know it. Will we see each other in the ring? I hope so!
