The rumors finally came true. Fans of Metal Gear and Hideo Kojima have been dreaming of remakes of the most famous stealth saga in the entire video game industry for years. Going to the beginning of the chronology, Konami has just revealed the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. But will it come to PC? Having been introduced at the PlayStation conference, questions remained about it.
With a cinematic trailer (which sadly doesn’t teach anything about gameplay), we could see Naked Snake with new generation graphics. With this, it was confirmed that the saga would return home on PlayStation 5, but other platforms were left in the air.
Now, thanks to the fact that Konami itself has published the trailer on its YouTube channel, we have the answer to this question. Yes, the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be available on PC exclusively through Steam, with no mention of it going through the Epic Games Store.
On the other hand, what we do not know is the status of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. This compilation, released in volumes that will supposedly include the entire saga, was also confirmed, but at the moment it does not have any explicitly assigned platform. Of course, it would be the perfect opportunity to enjoy the masterpieces of Hideo Kojima on our platform and with an edition that matches its pedigree.
Other PlayStation Showcase games coming to PC
It wasn’t all PS5 at the Sony conference, and it is that other video games that had their moment of glory will land on our platform. Alan Wake 2, for example, will arrive as an Epic Games exclusive, while Ghostrunner 2 and Dragon’s Dogma 2 are some of the most impactful sequels we’ve seen at the conference.
