Baldur’s Gate 3 finally has a release date, and it delivers as promised in a slightly comical way

Baldur’s Gate 3 is by far one of the most anticipated RPGs of the entire generation. Not only is it the return of one of the most powerful franchises in the genre, but it is the new game from Larian Studios, absolute masters of the role. We knew it would arrive in August, but we were not sure what day. Now, thanks to yesterday’s State of Play, we finally know its release date.

Last December, during the 2022 Game Awards, Baldur’s Gate 3 announced that it would arrive during the month of August, but it left us intrigued as to the exact day it would arrive. After more than two months waiting for clarification, Larian Studios has finally revealed that yes, it will be in august when i arrivealthough there is a detail that makes opening day something funny.

Last night, during the new State of Play on PlayStation, between the news on PSVR2 and the great games from Capcom, Larian Studios snuck in to show us a new trailer for Baldur’s Gate 3, one that would finally reveal its release date. And it is that the ambitious RPG will arrive next August 31. So, yes, Baldur’s Gate will be back in August, literally on the last day of the month.

If you are impatient to be able to try this role-playing game, I remind you that the title is available as Early Access on Steam. Even so, with the time remaining for its relatively imminent release, I would wait to be able to enjoy its full version before trying something half-baked.

Larian Studios has already confirmed that the price of the title will not change once its final version is released. Even so, if you want to try the early access, it will include the entire act 1 of the title (about 25-35 hours, as estimated by its creators), in addition to 9 races and 11 classes. We don’t know if there will be more updates that include preview content between now and launch.
