It’s no secret that when it comes to graphics cards, NVIDIA is king. With a market share that he eats his rivals, the green team gloats not just in their numbers, but in their technology. AMD doesn’t want DLSS to dominate, which is why it’s focusing a lot of its efforts on its alternative, the FSRwhose new version we may be able to see soon.
The red team has not yet announced when its next big presentation will be, but we do know that it will attend one of the most important events in the gaming industry: GDC 2023. At this year’s Game Developers Conference, the company behind the Dr. Lisa Su has reserved a space to talk about her technological advances, and a hint makes this seem like more than just a formality.
If we go to the announcement of the AMD talk at GDC 2023, we can see the content and duration of it. At first, everything seems to be just another talk about the industry: the jFidelityFX development manager, Jason Lacroix, will be in charge of talking about the architecture and the way to implement this technology. Even so, the way this summary closes makes our teeth long.
”This session will also include an exciting glimpse to the new FidelityFX technologies that will be available soon”, the announcement reads. With the arrival of the powerful DLSS 3, it is not unreasonable to assume that AMD is working on FSR 3, and that it will be designed to challenge the green monopoly.
If you are interested in following AMD’s talk and see live what the new project they are working on is like, mark this date and time on your calendar: the talk will take place the next day 23 of March at 7:00 p.m. (peninsular time). Will we then see a DLSS killer available for all graphics cards?
