The clash between UEFA and Real Madrid found a new front on Thursday. The white club rejected as insufficient the reimbursement of the tickets to a part of the fans who suffered the chaos in the accesses to the Saint Denis stadium, in Paris, in the last Champions League final, between Liverpool and the Merengue team. The highest body of European football reported on Wednesday that it will return the price of tickets to fans who had to enter the venue through doors A, B, C, X, Y and Z, which was where “the most difficult circumstances were recorded”. and that it was occupied by the English fans. The prices ranged between 70 and 687 euros. UEFA assumed its responsibility in the incidents that occurred outside the field, where a part of the fans were gassed by the French police and could not enter the stadium until after 9:00 p.m., the scheduled time for the match, which was finally delay.

“Our club considers UEFA’s proposal insufficient, which consists exclusively of the reimbursement of the ticket price, which is also conditioned on meeting a series of requirements, including demonstrating the time of access to the stadium,” said the club. Real Madrid through a statement. “All the fans suffered an unacceptable delay in the start of the match, in addition to the unacceptable insecurity, both in accessing the stadium and in their evacuation, together with serious additional damages, such as robberies, assaults and threats”, added the club, which refers to the situations suffered by many fans outside Saint Denis.

“The safety and physical integrity of the fans were endangered. Many of them were victims of theft of tickets and personal effects, such as bags, phones and wallets. And what is more serious, some of these fans suffered physical attacks that required medical attention and hospitalization, ”denounces the note from the white team.

“Real Madrid has decided not to collaborate in the limited compensation procedure promoted by UEFA, which we ask to rectify and assume full responsibility. In these circumstances, a telematic assistance service will be set up in the coming days so that all Real Madrid members and fans who suffered damages of any kind in the Champions League final in Paris can assess the appropriate claims against UEFA in defense of their legitimate personal interests”, points out Madrid, which says that in the next few days it will communicate the details of this assistance service.
