The Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, said this Saturday that the club’s president, Florentino Pérez, had ratified him in his position for the next course in a meeting held this Friday, which this newspaper had announced was pending. The Italian coach still has one year left on his contract, until June 2024, something that he had repeatedly recalled in several appearances, and something that Pérez also pointed out on May 6 at the La Cartuja stadium after the team won the Copa del Rey: “I don’t want to talk about it anymore. He has a contract and we are happy ”.
The Italian assured that he was facing the next season “with even more enthusiasm”, in what will be his fifth season on the bench at the Bernabéu, the third of this second season, after the previous two, 2013/14 and 2014/15, in which he won the club’s tenth European Cup against Atlético Madrid in Lisbon.
“Yesterday we talked as usual, we do it almost every week. We had a meeting where [Florentino] He expressed his support and affection. We talk about the game on Wednesday, the season that is ending and the two seasons together. We continue forward with the same and even more enthusiasm to do things well ”, she declared.
